Fostering FAQ’s

What exactly is fostering and what does it involve?

Fostering is when someone opens up their heart and home to a homeless dog in need, while they wait for their forever home. While in your care, you provide a safe, secure, loving environment where your foster dog can blossom. You get to know their personalities, their strengths and weaknesses, what behaviors they know and which ones may need some work. Sometimes you help to train them, socialize them, and teach them manners.

Why should I foster?

Fostering is one of the most important and rewarding things you can do when it comes to rescue. When you foster an animal you are freeing up space at a shelter and within the rescue organization for another animal to be saved. Fostering truly does save lives.
