Welcome to peacelovedogs.

We are a dog rescue organization in the Houston, Texas region working tirelessly to save a never-ending population of stray dogs that are starving, suffering, and reproducing at an alarming rate. We pull, rescue, and rehabilitate homeless dogs in the South and place them in committed forever homes up north. We are devoted to educating our community and building a close-knit family of passionate fosters and adopters who share our vision for a world without homeless dogs.

Rescuing dogs is more than a labor of love for us. It is a calling.

About

peacelovedogs was founded by Darci Davenport + Melissa White Raynor. They officially met in 2014 when a lhasa-apso/poodle mix came into the shelter where Melissa was volunteering. He was so matted he couldn’t even go to the bathroom.
